LET IT GO

I held on tight, as it began to slip
This heavy load began to rip
I clutched my fists and pulled, I pulled
The weight to heavy
My senses dulled
"LET IT GO" LET IT GO" They sat and shouted
Yet I held on even tighter as I felt my strength melted
Soon I was dragged down along with it
I shifted my feet but I could feel they just drifted
I couldn't, I can't, I won't let it go
Time has now moved slower than slow

Out of the blue I feel lighter than ever
This feeling confused was memory shimmer
I felt so calm so happy and free
It was just as I realised
IT had let go of me
